GoblinGreen2021 has been trying out our paints.

There are a lot of people posting amazing paint jobs over on Instagram and one of the favourites among people in the office is Will at Goblingreen2021

He has been slapping some of the paint we sent him on a marine. Check out the paint job so far and what he had to say below.

Hi all!

I hope everyone in the UK is enjoying their extra hour today 😁

I wanted to properly try these new TrollTrader paints before the kickstarter finishes and so after some initial tests, I put together this guy, my first plastic marine of the year! I've totally forgotten how much easier it is putting together plastic models and the poses avalaible in a modern kit really are fantastic! So after some test models I put together this guy and only after I finished, realised hes in a matched pose with the second edition artwork front cover. I really am obsessed arent I 😆😆😆!

After seeing all the amazing entries at Golden Demon, I also tried to add a little bit more going on with the base using some supplies from @geekgamingscenics.

The reds in this set really are quite good! The main red for the base (Viscera Red) is somewhere between Mephiston Red and Evil Sunz Red so I think works great for a more modern Blood Angel.

Also, a small note on these paints that I would love to see in other paint ranges. Im told there is more retadrader than normal which stops the paint drying too quickly. This is such a great help when doing freehand work. The flames were just no bother at all to do as the paint didnt dry up on the brush. Its like using a felt tip pen. A very nice touch.

Red Armour recipe below for anyone who has picked up these paints:

Base: Viscera red

Shade 1: Capo Red
Shade 2: Tlalocan Red

Highlight 1: 50/50 Viscera Red/Blood Orange
Highlight 2: Blood Orange
Highlight 3:Boo Yeah! Orange(Best paint name! Fire Dragon Bright but better coverage)

Dot Highlight: Halfling Skin(Awesome paint!)
Dot Highlight: White Knuckle (Another awesome paint!)

If you made it this far, thanks for reading!

Cheers!

Will
